On Friday, Feb. 20, the boy’s basketball team overcame a 16-point deficit against No. 2 North Central. The team was down by three points with 9 seconds left when junior shooting guard Bailey Barrett made a deep trey to send the game to overtime. Barrett had 16 points and also made two clutch free throws to seal the victory for his team. The Trojans started the season with 9-9, but have beaten three top 10 teams in the state in the last four games: No. 9 Mooresville, No. 2 North Central and No. 7 Brownsburg. Barrett says winning these games gives them a huge momentum boost going into sectionals this week. They play New Palestine tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Whiteland.
